This course introduces students to the principles of health information management.  Students will explore the development and management of health information. The course also focuses on hospital and medical staff organization; patient record content; procedures in the filing, numbering, and retention of patient records; quantitative analysis; release of patient information; forms control and design; indexes and registers; regulatory and accrediting agencies; and various healthcare delivery systems.
